Introducing WoodPress® professional grade real wood veneer jumbo rolls in 100 meter lengths. While this product could be classified as wood edging, the 135mm width allows it to be used for a broad range of veneering and surface creation.

Sized for larger projects and repairs, the 100m veneer roll is designed for professional use on projects which require surfacing of MDF, plywood or chipboard panels. With a thickness of 0.5mm, this veneer can also be applied to curved edges.

The WoodPress® veneer range offers for an assortment of wood species popular with furniture making, such as oak, beech, birch and maple. From oak cabinet doors to pine kitchen worktops to walnut shelving units, the range has something to offer. Wood veneer allows creativity with design when building, and speed and simplicity when undertaking repairs. As it is made of real wood veneer, the veneer can be sanded, oiled, stained and varnished as desired.

Cover all household and office surfaces with this high-grade wood veneer, used to finish or repair surfaces on plywood, MDF or chipboard. Further applications include home or office furniture panels, such as cabinets, shelves, kitchen units, kitchen tops, interior doors as well as table, picture frames, drawers, and musical instruments. We do recommend this veneer be used indoors. However, if you do wish to apply it to outdoor furniture, it should be varnished and sealed accordingly.

WoodPress® veneer rolls are made of real wood sourced only from FSC registered forests. The Real Wood Workshop want to encourage you to repair rather than replace your old furniture and units. Use this wood veneer to restore exposed or damaged edges, rendering an old unit like new while saving it from landfill!

All UK orders over £30.00 will benefit from FREE SHIPPING (subject to our terms).

Shipping fees for orders under £30.00 are charged at a nominal £3.25.

We are also able to offer local order collection from our headquarters in NW London.

What is Jumbo Edge Banding?

Jumbo edge banding rolls are significantly larger and wider than standard edge banding rolls, measuring 100m in length and 135mm in width. These oversized trade veneer rolls are ideal for larger furniture projects and serve as creative solutions for non-furniture woodworking projects, such as wall paneling, or flooring repair.

What Are Jumbo Edge Banding Rolls Used For?

The 135mm width is much wider than average edge banding, making it suitable for applications like countertop surfaces, door surfacing, wooden stairway surfacing, wall paneling, and so on. It provides a portable solution for creating seamless wood edges and surfaces on an industrial scale. Acoustic wall panel strips can be surfaced using this wide veneer roll, to create a stunning, uniform appearance in your client’s chosen wood. Additionally, wide edge banding is perfect for large or unconventional furniture projects or furniture restoration. Applications such as veneering bases on art-deco chairs are an example of such uses.

Are Our Jumbo Edge Banding Rolls Pre-Glued?

Our jumbo edge banding rolls are not pre-glued, meaning they cannot be applied using an iron-on method. Adhesives such as PVA glue, contact cement, or hot glue guns are typically used to attach them. To ensure proper application, the adhesive should be applied evenly to the surface, and the edge banding should be pressed firmly into place using a roller or clamps to eliminate air bubbles. What Does Fleece-Backed Mean?

Fleece-backed edging or veneer refers to a thin layer of non-woven fabric-like material on the underside, which enhances adhesion by creating a porous surface for glue to bond with. This backing also makes the edge banding more flexible, allowing it to conform to curved surfaces (and indeed be rolled). Additionally, the fleece layer strengthens the material, making it more durable and less prone to cracking or tearing during installation or use. Dependent on the wood species, a fleece may or may not be added, as necessary.

Do you offer a colour matching service for wood veneer edge banding?

It is generally hard to get a precise colour match for wood veneer, given it is a natural product, with rolls varying in tone and grain from tree to tree. Consider treating the edging with a wood stain, varnish or oil to blend with other surfaces.

How flexible is the wood veneer edge banding and can it be applied over curves, such as a routed edge?here to edit

Our wood edging is malleable to gentle curves and should suit a routed edge. The product only has so much ‘give’ so do test first to see if the edging will curve without cracking. For acute curves or angles, ensure you cut the edge banding and apply in sections.

Can you make any width of wood edging tape?

Our standard widths for wood veneer edge banding are 15mm, 19mm, 22mm, 30mm, 40mm and 50mm, which tend to be come pre-glued. We produce jumbo rolls like these of 135mm. Custom widths can be produced, but this would depend on a bulk order, carrying a minimum linear meterage.
